We are a reputable, fully licensed, local tour operator and do not outsource our business. This enables us to give our clients the highest standard of service at a reasonable cost.
Why Choose us for your treks in Tanzania?
Our mountain and safari guides have undergone intensive training to receive their respective licenses. They have years of experience and have successfully guided 98% of our clients to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. They are there to help you stay safe while on the mountain and on safari.
On the mountain our guides carry portable oxygen and conduct pulse oximeter readings throughout the climb.
Due to the pandemic, a special Covid-19 porter has been assigned to every climb to assure standard operating procedures, including disinfecting, hand washing and social distancing are adhered to.
Both on safari and Mt. Kilimanjaro our guides carry First Aid Kits.
In addition we have partnered with AMREF Flying Doctor emergency rescue for Kilimanjaro climbs as well as safaris.
Safety comes first on Kilimanjaro. It simply has to. This means having the right equipment and clothing, climbing with experienced and responsible guides, eating good food, and choosing a route that lets you acclimatise properly. We discuss it all below!
We are an environmentally and socially responsible company and our guides have been trained to “Leave No Trace”, and follow all rules concerning the removal of rubbish on the mountain.
First Hand Experience
All Local Moshi Adventures team members have personally climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and explored the various National Parks on the Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit. We have visited many hotels and lodges and have chosen our partner hotels based on amenities, comfort and service.
Customized Private Climbs
We offer private Kilimanjaro climbs and safaris for every budget. We offer a choice of lodges (backpackers, budget, mid-range or 4 star) and the flexibility to select your own travel dates. Being on a private climb the departure is guaranteed and last minute changes can be accommodated.
Support and Guidance
We like answering questions and will be using the first hand knowledge of our team members to answer any questions you may have, starting with the planning process until the completion of your trip.
We are aware visiting Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro or going on safari is a trip of a lifetime for most clients. As such we take our responsibility of arranging personal itineraries very seriously. We like to pay attention to details when it comes to client care, and our team members have received customer service training to cater to the individual needs of our clients.
While on the mountain our cooks will be happy to accommodate dietary needs or preferences.
Depending on the accommodation type you selected for your safari (camping, budget, mid-range or luxury), our lodges offer buffet style dinners or a menu accommodating dietary needs or preferences.
We believe the hard work of porters working on Mount Kilimanjaro is the lifeblood of all climbing companies operating in this region in Tanzania.
Without porters, tour companies could not exist and many climbers would not reach Uhuru Peak. Unfortunately many climbing companies offer cheap climbs on the back of their porters.
We are a member of KPAP (Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project), an independent organization ensuring the fair and ethical treatment of porters on Mt. Kilimanjaro. This includes paying living wages, ensuring proper clothing is worn, providing proper shelter and three meals per day as well as the adherence to tipping guidelines.
