5 Day Northern Circuit Luxury Tour from Zanzibar

On your first day, you’ll catch a flight to Arusha and kick-start your adventure with a visit to Arusha NP. You’ll then head to Tarangire on the next day and be blown away with large herds of African elephants. Next stop will be Ngorongoro Crater (world’s 8th natural wonder) before heading to the famous Serengeti where you’ll spend two magical nights.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest uninterrupted caldera and one of Africa’s natural wonders. The crater is home to about 30,000 large resident mammals (such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos) and many varieties of birds (such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Keep your camera ready and be ready to see many animals within a short time!
The Serengeti National Park has accommodations located in five specific migration focused areas as noted below. The park also has various seasonal mobile accommodations located in distinct areas of the park that tracks the wildebeest migration movement. Day to Day Activities
Day 1: Zanzibar to Arusha National Park
Depending on where you’ll be staying in Zanzibar, a driver will pick you up at 5:00 am and drive you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. You’ll arrive in Arusha at 9:20 am where a professional guide will be waiting to greet and brief you on your upcoming journey. After the briefing, you’ll drive for 2 hours to Arusha National Park. Following a picnic lunch, you’ll resume the afternoon game drive before driving to Kili Seasons Luxury Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Following an early breakfast, proceed on the 2-hour drive from Kili Season Luxury Lodge to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is notable for its old baobab trees, tree-climbing pythons, and the biggest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Following a midday picnic lunch, you will resume your afternoon game drive before driving to the beautiful Mawe Mawe Luxury Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
Following an early breakfast, we’ll leave Mawe Mawe Luxury Lodge and head to Ngorongoro Highlands and then descend 600 meters into the crater for our last wildlife viewing. This stunning place will offer you almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino(we’ll be the luckiest travelers if we spot one).Lunch will then be served at the crater’s base about lunchtime near a hippo lake and then do a transfer game drive to the great Serengeti National Park. We’ll arrive in Central Serengeti in the late afternoon and continue proceed with an evening game drive before heading to a luxurious tented lodge for our overnight stay.
Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive
We hope you’re excited for today! We’ll be in the park all day long. At dawn, after a simple light breakfast, we’ll set out and begin our journey. We will go on a full-day wildlife drive to explore the Serengeti’s stunning surroundings and look for the Big 5. That being said, we’ll keep on looking for wildlife in the Serengeti, then head back to camp for some delicious dinner and a rustic night rest.
Day 5: Central Serengeti then Zanzibar
This will be our last day in the Serengeti. We’ll say goodbye to the park in style! Following breakfast, we’ll go for an early morning game drive that will last for 4 hours. You’ll get to experience what The Serengeti is famous for (stunning beauty, diverse landscapes and amazing wildlife) for one last time. We’ll then head back to our campsite to pick up our lunch, grab our things and finally drive to Arusha airport to catch our flight back to Zanzibar.
We’ll be stopping along the way for more wildlife viewing.

Main access gate for the Western Corridor area; approximately a 1.5 hours drive from Mwanza and 145 kilometers from Seronera. Gate is open between 06h00 and 18h00 daily but please note that last entry is at 16h00.

Short answer: no. Public restroom facilities are few and far between within national parks. If the call of nature hits while you’re out on safari and you can’t hold it until you get back to camp, you’ll be paying a stop to the bush toilet.
